3P’s to Success

I have been reflecting on the several “texts” i have read about goal setting; success; teamwork and leadership. Three things have always come to my mind – these, i have referred to as the 3P’s – which should always be central to all that we do.

1. Planning – For every venture to be a success, it must be carefully planned. There must be a clear path to to the goal otherwise, it will be a “tiring blind treck”.

2. Patience – Romans 8:25 says, “But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently”. We should always patiently work our way through the plans set so as to achieve our goals.

“A waiting person is a patient person. The word patience means the willingness to stay where we are and live the situation out to the full in the belief that something hidden there will manifest itself to us.” Henri J.M. Nouwen

3. Passion – We may have great plans and the patience, BUT if we are not passionate about what we have set ourselves to do, then, it is time wasted. Passion is the energy that keeps us going, that keeps us filled with meaning, and happiness, and excitement, and anticipation. Passion is a powerful force in accomplishing anything you set your mind to, and in experiencing work and life the fullest extent possible.

“Nothing is as important as passion. No matter what you want to do with your life, be passionate.” -Jon Bon Jovi

Over to you …….
